Where do the calculator defaults come from?

Each numeric default cites a primary source — see the methodology page for the full bibliography. Buyer-intent and spam rates use Respondology's two annual datasets (118M and 169M comments).

Is the calculator sending my data anywhere?

No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Inputs sync to the URL so you can share a result, but they are never sent to a ROAS Shield server.

How accurate is this?

Defaults are conservative lower bounds, and ROAS Shield recovery efficacy is labelled as an internal estimate with a stated range — see the methodology.

Why does ROAS Shield cite Respondology so heavily?

Respondology has the only first-party large-N dataset that exists for paid Meta-ad comment composition. We disclose they are in the same category as us — see Methodology Section 8.

Does this apply to lead-gen or B2B accounts?

The buyer-intent rate is D2C/retail-specific. Lead-gen and B2B accounts likely sit lower.
